Easter tide calls us to 3 evenings that allow the lost spirit of Good Friday, the hidden depths of Holy Saturday, and the barely conceived yet redemptive power of Easter Sunday to be salvaged for all of us.

Class Background

The lost spirit of Good Friday wishes to be rescued from the clutches of religion. While we have been taught to feel terrible about Jesus being crucified on that cross at Golgotha, this entire vantage point has been corrupted and distorted. We will plunge to the heart and depth of the real essence of the meaning of this day and the mystery that has been buried for millennia.

The hidden depths of Holy Saturday speak to the mystery of Christ Jesus’ descent into the underworld and pierces the veil to reveal that what he brought with him in that descent changes the underworld forevermore. The core of this mystery allows us to make our own descent in dark times to find that what we each bear within is everything we need to come back to life. What has remained esoteric and mystical and broadly unknown now opens.

The redemptive power of Easter Sunday and its call to resurrection is where we go once we have lost everything and crawled our way back to being here despite it all. When we share together the spirit of resurrection it will need to be a core entry into that which humanity has yet to grasp in our times. Coming through the Christ Mysteries is our own quest yet one we can make together.
